The verdict was passed in court in Sudan when the judge asked her whether she is still a Muslim the woman replied that she is a Christian and the judge sentenced her to death by hanging.
Her husband spoke out on the verdict and said that he is frustrated and that he will continue to pray for his wife.
Meanwhile the case can be appealed in a federal high court in Sudan, outside the court house many people were holding up banners saying "Freedom of Religion" while the Muslims were rejoicing.
