A court sitting in Benin city Edo state has ruled that former Governor of Delta state James Ibori has a case to answer concerning the allegation leveled against him concerning financial impropriety and money laundering by EFCC.
The judgement was made by a 3 man panel comprising of Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, Justice Pm Ekpe and Justice H.A Barka.
This ruling contradicts the one which was made 6years ago in a federal high court in Asaba where Judge Mascel Awokulehin who struck out 170 counts of money laundering which was then leveled against Ibori.
This new development now means that James Ibori who is currently serving a jail term in the U.K for money laundry will also face jail term when he returns to Nigeria.
